I am taking part in the Life Club Annual Exhibition later this month (see below).
I’ll be showing this painting…
…and some other new works from life.
I am taking part in a huge exhibition with 49 other artists over the bank holiday weekend of 30th April – 2nd May at Parkside Hall, Ampthill, Bedfordshire (see poster below).
It will be a really exciting and eclectic mix of paintings, prints, sculpture and craft, with something for everyone’s taste (hopefully!) and all for sale.
I will be in attendance at the Private View on Friday evening and all day Saturday. If you’d like an invitation to the PV please get in touch asap and I will arrange to get one to you.
Hope to see you there!
I plan to show some of my most recent loose watercolour and line figure drawings which illustrate something of my intense relationship with colour…
All memmbers of the Eagle co-operative have been invited to submit one piece of work each on the theme of “Contrast”.
See http://jostonearttutor.wordpress.com for information and booking!
Following the success of last week’s exhibition at Parkside Hall, Ampthill ( see review at http://BecomingAnArtist.wordpress.com ), it’s time to tell you about the next one at Moat Farm Gallery next weekend 6/7th June.
I will be showing some new work along with a small group of fellow artists from the Artists Network Bedfordshire.
This is a lovely small gallery space in a rural setting, – with room to park nearby (though please not in front of the house!) or on the road outside.
We’ll all be at the preview on Friday 7-9pm to greet you, with drinks and nibbles!
I shall also be there all day on Saturday.
For venue address and opening times, please see below:
I will be taking part in no less than THREE exhibitions over the coming weeks and will be showing different work at each venue!
The first is at Parkside hall, Ampthill, Beds. on 23rd and 24th May.This is a massive show of 50 artists’ work organised through Artists Network Bedfordshire comprising a huge mix of disciplines, including sculpture, printmaking and furniture. Entry is free.
Please click on the right-hand image above for a printable invitation to the Private View, which is on Friday 22nd May at Parkside hall, from 7.30-10.30 pm. Drinks and nibbles will be served!
The following two exhibitions take place at Moat Farm Gallery, Stoke Hammond:
“MIDSUMMER MADNESS 2015” is on Sat 6th and Sun 7th June, with a Private View Friday evening 7-9pm. This a small group show of work by members of our Artist Network Bedfordshire Mid-Beds Hub. Entry is free.
“A SLICE OF LIFE” is an exhibition of drawings and paintings inspired by the human figure, by a group of fifteen artists, all of whom live in and around Leighton Buzzard. This will be on over two weekends, 4th/5th and 10th/11th/12th July, with a Private View on Friday evening from 7-9pm. Free entry.
Here is one of my demos from a recent Life Drawing session. I have been demonstrating some different ways of using watercolours which offer a “looser” style of working. The results have been really exciting!
